Monica Carvalho combine photos into bizarre colleges, and the result is incredible pictures that break the brain
Monica Carvalho is a photo artist who grew up in Switzerland, studied in England, and now lives in Berlin. She has been involved in photo montage for five years and, inspired by the similarity between the shots in terms of color, texture and shape, creates surrealistic photo manipulations. She does all her work using Photoshop, using her own (not stock) photos.
“For example, the two mountain peaks that I took off in Greece reminded me of my upper lip; the road to Oxford was the same color as my skin; the zipper case looked like eyelashes. I also like to play with sizes. So my friends fit in my palm, and the Empire State Building turned into a giant candle, ”Monika talks about her work.
