Why in Georgia built bridges between Soviet prefabricated houses. In one popular district of Tbilisi, there are houses with bridges between them. An amazing phenomenon that catches your eye!
In the Soviet republics, panel houses were built about the same. But still in some places they had their own local characteristics. For example, in one of the districts of Tbilisi there are houses that are connected to neighboring long bridges.
Therefore, in order for residents of the region to be able to pass the slope as quickly and easily as possible and get into another district, which is located higher, one of Soviet Georgian architect Otar Kalandarishvili, proposed an innovation in the form of bridges between the “panels” house.
It is also interesting that in the houses there are two types of elevators. Some people use it as usual, while the second one rises to the 14th floor, where there are transitions between the houses. By the way, the fare is paid - 14 tetri (Georgian Currency). Inside the elevators there are special receivers into which you can throw coins.
Residents of the area use these bridges every day. Some get to work like this, others just to get to the store or public transport.
