The Tibetan mastiff is a molosser dog breed , obviously originating from Tibet, with a remarkable physical presence. It is a huge "mountain dog" with a somewhat difficult character, despite being extremely docile and reliable. Tibetan tribes used this beautiful dog breed to protect livestock from attack by predators , such as wolves, bears or tigers.
Despite his size, it arouses a bit of fear, in reality, this dog becomes very attached to the family in which it grows and turns out to be very protective with all the members of the family.
Tibetan mastiff size | The male specimens are high at the withers at least 66 cm and can weigh between 40 and 68 kg, while the females reach 62 cm in height for a weight that can go between 30 and 54 kg.
