You must have heard the theory that scientists misrepresent dinosaurs. From the ancient dinosaurs only skeletons remained, and paleontologists are forced to make assumptions about their real appearance only for these modest remains. In the modern world, the image of a dinosaur has long been rooted - it is both in children's encyclopedias and in films, but suddenly the researchers are mistaken?
Cow
Turkish artist and researcher C.M. Kosemen published a series of drawings that, in a sense, make fun of the dinosaurs that have become established in our minds (in his opinion, Hollywood is to blame for the fact that the whole world simply agreed that the ancient lizards look exactly like that).
Together with the artist John Conway and the zoologist Darren Naish, the man depicted the most ordinary animals, suggesting how they would look if their appearance was recreated over skeletons. As is the case with dinosaurs. And Mr. Cozman got something scary.
Rhinoceros
Zebra
Baboon
Hippo
Elephant
The artist asks the following questions. Why couldn't dinosaurs have feathers? Why should their silhouettes follow the contours of skeletons? Maybe they had special fat folds, processes, cartilage, or other features of soft tissues? Couldn't they be in all kinds of colors?
He also believes that dinosaurs gave too big fangs.
Swans
Python
Iguana
Hummingbird (sucking blood)
Sperm whale
Cat
Bonus: And here he is ... man
