Back in 1989, photographer Bobby Neil Adams was looking at his old pictures, and he came up with the idea for a curious photo project. He wanted to compare the faces of people in childhood and adulthood. Since the creation of Photoshop was still a long way off, the photographer had to do this manually.
The photographer combined children's and adult pictures of the same people, showing how faces change with age | Bobby imprinted portraits in equal proportions and superimposed one on top of the other, tearing part from the latter. It turned out a new image in which a child and an adult shot were combined. The photographer called his project Age Map.
